Put Hostvale on your home screen.
No App Store download and nothing to update. It takes about 20 seconds, and it is the only way to get lock-screen booking alerts on iPhone.
Open Hostvale in Safari
Go to hostvalehq.github.io/login and sign in. If you opened the link inside Instagram or WhatsApp, tap the menu and choose Open in Safari first.
Tap the Share button
It is the square with an arrow pointing up. On newer iPhones it sits inside the ••• menu at the bottom of the screen.
Choose Add to Home Screen
Scroll down the list until you see it. If you see Open as Web App, leave it switched on. Then tap Add.
Open Hostvale from the new icon
Find the gold Hostvale icon on your home screen and open it from there from now on. Then go to ⋯ → Live alerts and turn on lock-screen notifications.
Not getting alerts? Make sure you opened Hostvale from the home screen icon, not the browser, before turning alerts on. If you tapped Don't Allow by mistake, open your iPhone Settings, find Hostvale under Notifications and allow them.
