Terms of use

Last updated 19 October 2026

By creating a Hostvale account or using a Hostvale check-in or booking page, you agree to these terms.

The service

Hostvale is software that helps hosts manage shortlet apartments: calendars, bookings, payments, caution fees, guest check-in, reviews and team access. Hostvale is not a party to any booking between a host and a guest, does not collect rent or caution fees, and is not responsible for the condition of any apartment.

Host responsibilities

  • Keep your login safe and give team access only to people you trust.
  • Collect guest information lawfully, tell guests why you need it, and use it only for their stay.
  • Make sure your prices, house rules, caution fee and cancellation policy are accurate and that you honour them.
  • Do not use Hostvale for fraud, harassment or anything illegal.

Plans and payment

The Starter plan is free for one apartment. Paid plans are billed monthly in naira. If a payment is missed, your account returns to Starter limits; your data is kept. Free months from referrals are added to your account by Hostvale.

Calendar sync

Syncing with Airbnb, Booking.com and other sites depends on their calendar links. Sync can be delayed, so always confirm availability before accepting a booking taken outside Hostvale.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Hostvale running and your data safe, but the service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Hostvale is not liable for lost bookings, double bookings caused by delayed calendar sync, or indirect losses. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last three months.

Ending your account

You can stop using Hostvale at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
